Location

Located in Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan, approximately 180 km from Jaipur and 400 km from Delhi. The park is easily accessible by road and rail.

Area & History

Spanning 392 square kilometers, Ranthambore was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1955 and became a national park in 1980. The historic Ranthambore Fort within the park dates back to the 10th century.

Best Time to Visit

October to April is ideal for wildlife viewing. The park remains closed during monsoon season (July to September). Winter months offer the best tiger sighting opportunities.

Ranthambore Safari Timings

Safari timings are managed by forest authorities and may change according to seasonal conditions. Entry is strictly time-bound, and guests are advised to arrive at the gate well before the reporting time.
